Tereza Fasurová
PARTICIPANT, DEDICATED TO PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT IN STAKEHOLDER AND URBAN PLANNING
Tereza has been working for almost five years as a "participant" at the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague in the office of participation. She focuses on public and stakeholder involvement in urban planning. She studied Cartography and Applied Geography at Masaryk University in Brno. She was already interested in urban geography and planning, which she then began pursuing more at IPR. As part of her work, Tereza sets up participatory processes, manages participation within individual city projects, identifies the needs of citizens, stands at information containers and talks to people about the upcoming project, or trains her colleagues and other city officials in participation. Participation is not only about community events or participatory budgeting but mainly about seeking agreement and compromise together with all stakeholders and citizens.
