Karolína Menclerová

Service Design

Karolína Menclerová is a designer with a focus on service design, UX and design research. In her work, she connects research, design and involvement of people into the process of designing services and digital products. She believes that service design forms in dialogue, when people can contribute, share their experiences and jointly look for ways of improving services.

She currently works at the Institute of Computer Science at Masaryk University in Brno, where she’s contributing to the development of the Czech national data infrastructure within the EOSC CZ project, where she, as a UX researcher, encourages the creation of systems for managing and sharing research data.

She is, among other things, interested in proactive approaches in design, which think forward, help discover new needs and support long term changes. She focuses on design that supports sustainability, cooperation and a change of habits. She is the author of the After Trash project, which connects digital tools and participatory approaches to raising awareness about waste and its impact, for which she received the second place in the 2025 Best In Design competition in the category of Service Design.
