Main prize
For the best of the best across all four categories, we have the Best in Design 2026 title! Along with the prize for winning one of the categories, the absolute winner will receive an EXTRA €1,000!
1st place in each contest category
The author of the competition proposal that wins 1st place in a competition category will receive a financial prize of €500.
2nd place in each contest category
The author of the competition proposal that wins 2nd place in a competition category will receive a financial prize of €300.
3rd place in each contest category
The author of the competition proposal that wins 3rd place in a competition category will receive a financial prize of €200.
Media Award
The title of the bonus Media Award category is awarded to one of the semi-finalists of the competition. The winner is proposed by a special jury of this category – representatives of media closely connected with design. The selected designer will receive media support for their work.
About the competition
What is Best in Design?
Best in Design is an international competition for young designers. Not only are there financial prizes ranging from €200 to €1,500 at stake, but above all a huge opportunity to get feedback, make valuable contacts, compare yourself with young designers from all over the world, show what you’ve got and maybe even kick-start your career. All you need to apply is courage and talent.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to both individuals and teams under the age of 30. Authors can pull all their aces out of their sleeve, but the submitted designs must be no older than 2 years. There is no limit to the number of applications you can submit and even your wallet won’t suffer – entries are free!
4 categories
You can win awards in one of our four competition categories – Product & Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Communication Design and Service Design, and you can also aim for the main title of Best in Design. Your work can also be awarded in the bonus Media Award category.
Why shouldn’t you be afraid to take the risk and enter?
Because if nothing is ventured, nothing is gained and in Best in Design there is only to gain! Rewards, experience, contacts, opportunities, inspiration and much more. It’s all about showing that design is what you truly love.
