Václav Chad Gallery
Location: Soudní 1, Zlín
The gallery was founded in 2014 as a space for contemporary visual art. It has long showcased prominent figures on the Czech art scene as well as emerging artists, and also focuses on creators connected to Zlín and the wider region. It creates an environment for meeting and discovery, where art naturally connects with the public.
ARE THERE TOO FEW EXHIBITIONS HERE FOR YOU? HERE ARE TWO MORE.
The exhibition “The Geometry of Stone and Image – A Czech-Polish Dialogue in Contemporary Art” brings together sculpture and painting, exploring the contrast between the Czech and Polish contexts as well as the relationship between tradition and the present. Geometry serves here as a unifying principle that shapes the artists’ engagement with materials, space, and light.
The second exhibition, “Landscapes of Dreams and Fantasy,” created in collaboration with the Neznámá země festival, presents the work of four artists and combines painting, photography, and glass. This creates a space that straddles the line between reality and fantasy, where the personal stories of the individual creators are reflected.
