Slovak Fashion Council

The Slovak Fashion Council is a professional nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the development of the Slovak fashion ecosystem. It is the creator of the LUMó project and the organizer of the fashion and sustainable design program within the Trenčín 2026 initiative.

Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture is an international project that connects local themes within a European and global context. It offers artistic experiences and focuses on community engagement and public space. One of the program’s themes is fashion and sustainable design. 

LUMó – The Sustainable Fashion Laboratory is a project by the Slovak Fashion Council created for Trenčín, the European Capital of Culture 2026. LUMó was established as a continuation of the fashion tradition and heritage of the Trenčín region. It connects fashion, movement, craftsmanship, sustainability, and the cultural memory of the regions through performances, workshops, discussions, and public events.
