ROBOTA is an open digital workshop in the heart of the Svit complex in Zlin. For the community of designers and creators, it serves as a unique technological hub that allows them to transform digital designs into tangible prototypes without having to invest in their own expensive equipment. It is a space for material experimentation, where traditional craftsmanship meets modern engineering.

LEGO Robots
Time: 10 AM – 11:30 AM

Build, program, and bring your own LEGO robot to life. This workshop is a great opportunity to explore the basics of technology, logic, and teamwork in a fun way. Do you love LEGO? Bring a friend, your parents, grandma, or uncle, and come discover together what you can do with LEGO robots!
Clothing upcycling with SWAP Zlín, z.s.
Time: 10 AM – 5 PM
Pick a second-hand piece at the SWAP Zlín stand or bring your own clothes that you’re a bit tired of and transform them into a timeless addition to your wardrobe. Sewing machines, screen printing with ready-made templates, spray paints, an embroidery machine, and printmaking using carved graphics will be available. Let your imagination run wild and leave with an original creation everyone will envy.
Sustainable Mecharium
Time: 1 PM – 4 PM
Admission: 300 CZK
Give glass a second chance and create your own piece of living nature. This workshop will guide you through the fascinating transformation of an ordinary wine bottle or mason jar into a unique glass terrarium – a closed ecosystem that lives a life of its own.
You’ll learn to work with a glass cutter and a diamond grinder to give the bottle a new shape and purpose. Using precise laser engraving, you’ll then create the mossarium’s lid, which you can personalize – engrave a message, symbol, or the name of the person you want to give this piece of nature to. No prior experience is needed, just a desire to create and a love of greenery. You’ll take home not only a stylish design accessory that requires minimal care, but also the skills to upcycle materials that would otherwise end up in the trash.

All day long, you can come by to print your own T-shirt, embroider a logo on a cap, create your own portrait using a 3D scanner and 3D printing, or use our technology in any way to bring your idea to life. Everything at list prices – TBU students get a 50% discount!
We also offer repairs for your items all day long as part of the Repair Café (99 CZK/repair). Is something not working as it should? Before you throw it away, stop by. At the Repair Café, we’ll take a look together at minor defects, missing parts, or worn-out components and try to find a way to fix it. Maybe all it takes is a small adjustment, and the item can keep serving you!
