As part of Zlin Design Week, a section of Dlouhá Street will be transformed for a week. Normally used mainly for traffic and parking, this time it will demonstrate how it can also serve as a place for people to meet, relax, or enjoy cultural events.

On Thursday, May 7, an event will take place on-site, attended by the team from the Zlín City Architect’s Office. You can view an exhibition of projects, chat with the architects, and participate in accompanying activities for both children and adults. In collaboration with the Zelenáčova šopa club, there will also be an outdoor concert, with the band performing directly from the terrace.

The entire project is based on the principles of tactical urbanism—that is, temporary modifications to public spaces that demonstrate new ways of using them and spark a discussion about how they might function in the long term.
