CHILLOUT zone

Location: KOMA module (Komenský Park, Zlin)
Date: May 6–12, 2026
Daily: 10 AM – 6 PM
Admission: Free

This year’s program is packed with sports, so it’s nice to treat yourself to a little peace and quiet every now and then. We’re definitely on board. That’s why we’ve set up the CHILLOUT zone, where you’ll find a space to relax as well as activities to help you unwind and have fun.

Want to take something home and give something away at the same time? Don’t miss ZDW Swap & Morning Disco. On Friday, you can also stop by to see Marek Kuźmiński, who will be cooking and talking about inclusive design as part of Design CANTEEN.

Throughout the week, you can look forward to workshops we’re offering in the form of creative activities or educational sessions. Some will take place right here, so don’t miss the Workshop PLYŠODUŠÁK: Textiles for the soul × Karolína Kopřivová or the Workshop Crafting with children: give materials a second life × Designéři dětem.

And if you’re not entirely confident in your craft skills, you can try the original card game Doughnut Czechia × designer Lukáš Jan Němec.

How do I get to the CHILLOUT zone?

You’ll find the CHILLOUT zone in Komenský Park in the form of the KOMA module.

Public transportation: The shortest route by trolleybus is from the Školní stop or Náměstí Míru.
By car: In Zlín, you can use the paid parking lots at Gahurova or at the convention center. However, parking is generally a problem in Zlín, so we recommend coming on foot if possible.

If you have any specific needs and/or are unsure whether the program is right for you, don’t hesitate to contact us, either by email: anna.svobodova@zlindesignweek.com or by phone/text: +420 733 144 711.

Our goal is to make the festival accessible to as many people as possible—we’d be happy to advise you and help you come up with alternative options.
