What is ZLIN DESIGN WEEK?
Zlin Design Week, a week-long design festival where everyone can find inspiration. Through ZDW we create a platform for young designers and professionals to meet, present, express, share and make unexpected connections. We support young talents and bring a fresh wind to the design industry.
Looking for a Good place to go during ZDW? Here are some tips.

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO DURING ZDW?
What does Zlin Design Week look like?

Zlin
Design inherently belongs to Zlín. Design influences the life of every citizen, often unnoticed. We will give it a space to shine and to be understood by people, to be appreciated and to inspire.

universal design
Just like last year, this year’s Zlin Design Week will focus on universal design. Its role is to provide user-friendly and quality products and services to the widest possible group of people, thus creating an open and inclusive environment – and this is what motivates us to give it a place within ZDW.

A week of experiences
Zlín will come alive with design day and night. Exhibitions, cultural experiences, all-day conferences, installations in modules, lectures, workshops, fashion shows, excursions and unbeatable parties. The atmosphere cannot be described, you have to experience it.
What do they say about us?
“The event, connected to Tomáš Bata University, regularly presents the best of the local design scene. During the accompanying programme, you have the chance to listen to the visions of international leaders in the field, which have often not been seen in Prague before. No wonder. The event is produced at an excellent level.”

“Whether you want to create an installation or just to be here again and meet your friends, it’s all here! The connection of the university and the initiative of its students, a few substantial regional companies and the very phenomenon of the city allows Zlin and Czech design another point of contact. Long live Morava design!”
Roman Šedina
designer
“It isn’t just another superficial design event in the line. On the contrary, it is slowly but surely building its place in the Czech scene and brings a different point of view on contemporary design. Moreover, it is consistently being curated, brings a different view of the field and allows a opportunity for students and young designers to be active.”
