A unique fashion show that pushes the boundaries of the traditional format \u2013 that’s the kind of event coming to life on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Studio Z in the Zl\u00edn City Theatre. An unconventional evening where a space usually reserved for theatrical experiments transforms into a vibrant platform for dialogue between clothing, designers, and the audience. Four original collections will present personal stories, experimental approaches, a focus on sustainability, and a return to tradition.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visually striking, intellectually deep, and community-connected \u2013 this is what the Fashion Show at Zlin Design Week 2025 will be. So what can you expect instead of a classic runway? One of the most anticipated events of the design festival remains shrouded in mystery. \u201cDon\u2019t expect a catwalk or rows of plastic chairs. We\u2019ve prepared a format that draws in the audience, models, and organizing team into one shared fluid space. Everyone will interact from immediate proximity,\u201d explains Ji\u0159\u00ed Zapala\u010d, one of the show\u2019s managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Studio Z space at the Zl\u00edn City Theatre will be transformed into an intimate yet dynamic setting, allowing the audience to become a part of the experience. There will be no division between \u201cthem on stage\u201d and \u201cus in the audience.\u201d Instead, a living space will emerge \u2013 one where you can fully perceive the detail, texture, movement, and story that each outfit carries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis year, we\u2019ve selected four outstanding talents whose work reflects both their inner worlds and the social landscape around us. That\u2019s also why we once again opened an open call for models \u2013 anyone could apply, regardless of age, size, or previous experience,\u201d says Iva Stoli\u010dkov\u00e1, the show\u2019s co-manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each selected designer will bring their own perspective, inspiration, and signature style. Their collections differ in theme and execution but are united by authenticity, sensitivity, and a personal approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ane\u017eka Mat\u011bj\u016f Mrz\u00edlkov\u00e1<\/mark><\/strong>, a student at the Technical University in Liberec, will present Angels Awaken<\/mark><\/em>, a collection inspired by the changing sky \u2013 from morning sunrise to dramatic storm clouds and the calm of the night sky. The atmosphere is captured through delicate hand-beaded embroidery. The designer works exclusively with deadstock material, tying her work to ecological responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nishchaia Anastasiia<\/mark><\/strong>, a fashion designer originally from the Novosibirsk region, brings a deeply personal collection titled Revelation<\/mark><\/em>. It is a tribute to her grandmother and a celebration of the fragility of human departure. Transparent tulle, pearls, and glass beads carry symbolism of the naked soul, loss, and hope. Anastasiia has previously presented her work at Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week and Vision 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Amber Grain<\/mark><\/em> collection by designer Barbara Rakovsk\u00e1<\/mark><\/strong> stems from the idea of reconnecting with nature and sustainability. The name symbolizes grain as a source of nourishment and wealth \u2013 literally brought to life in the collection through lace that seems to grow from grain roots. Her inspiration came from folk costumes and harvest rituals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final collection is by the creative duo Roniqveja, made up of<\/mark><\/strong> Nikola Kov\u00e1\u0159ov\u00e1 and Adam Vejtasa<\/mark><\/strong>. They took an entirely different approach. Their collection Her Everyday<\/mark><\/em> is a visual diary of a girl balancing the chaos of everyday life with a longing for elegance. The layering of accidents, twists, and emotions is reflected in shapes and contrasting materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The capacity of this year\u2019s Fashion Show is intentionally limited. Thanks to the new format and intimate venue, only 200 attendees will experience the show, split between two evening time slots \u2013 at 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM. The smaller setting allows for a more intense experience and a more natural connection to the evening\u2019s atmosphere. The after-program will include a musical performance, space for networking, open dialogue, and, most importantly, unmistakable energy. Tickets are available at smsticket<\/mark><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
