After a one-year break, the day of our informal yet professional conference is almost here. The Design on the Border event, organized by students of the Digital and Product Design studios, will this year take place on Thursday, May 13, 2021, as part of the Zlin Design Week festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, with speakers from home and abroad, we will explore the process of cooperation in creative teams, but also of sustainable design and products designed for greater comfort and social adaptability for people in the post-productive age. You can enjoy all this from the comfort of your home because this year, the lectures will take place online!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 12th year of the informal conference Design on the Border <\/strong>offers a unique opportunity to broaden your professional outlook, enrich yourself with knowledge from people’s practice, and simply spice up one of the working days. DotB’s goal is, among other things, to look for boundaries and overlaps in design, art, and marketing. Our conference also creates a place for networking, and for meeting old and new friends. The informal atmosphere of non-traditional spaces directly encourages the establishment of conversations, contacts, and professional cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year we would like to touch on the topics of COOPERATION, TASTE THE WASTE and LONG LIFE<\/strong>. The first one is identical to the subtitle of this year’s Zlin Design Week, the second two topics are following up on last year’s DotB topic and also on the issue of upcycling and sustainability, which our studios are currently focusing on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire conference will take place online via the Zoom platform thanks to the Boomerang studio. So to get a load of inspiration, information, and experience, all you need to do to connect from the comfort of your home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And who can you look forward to throughout Thursday? You will hear about cooperation without borders from Pavel Nov\u00e1k<\/strong>, who focuses mainly on digital and 3D design and will teach at Tomas Bata University from next year at the newly emerging Game design studio. Product designer Zuzana Ton\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1<\/strong> will present on the use of bioinspiration, and our invitation was accepted also by Tom\u00e1\u0161 Pohl<\/strong> from the strategic marketing agency JustMighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be competitions with awesome prizes for the participants, but what is a prize compared to gaining unique know-how and looking behind the scenes of design projects?
