Valentine’s Day. Time of LOVE that’s often forgotten

14. 2. 2026 | Josef Plšek

Valentine’s Day is the day of love and joy for some, for others however, it’s a day full of pressure, comparisons and feeling that they’re lacking something. Whether you celebrate it, or just pass it every year without noticing, spare a moment of your time for closest ones this year, to let them know that you really care about them.

The date February 14th has a different meaning for everyone. For some it’s a day full of hearts, happiness and attention, for others it’s instead a reminder of loneliness, unfulfilled expectations or feeling inferior. Whether you love Valentine’s Day, or kind of ignore it every year, it works as a little wake-up call – a reminder to let our love known to those we care about. Even to those we may not tell as often as they would deserve.

Although Valentine’s Day is seen mainly as a holiday for those in love, it’s important to think of not just others, but ourselves as well. Love is often given out to others – partners, family, friends. But, more often than not, we forget about the closest person with whom we spend time every single day. Ourselves.

This year, try to stop for a moment. And write a couple lines. To somebody you love, or to yourself.

We prepared a simple love letter template for you, you can download it, print it or fill it out digitally. There is no right or wrong way to use it. What’s important is just that you spare a little bit of your time and maybe you’ll put a smile on someone else’s face. Or yours.
