Zlin Design Week is looking for fashion designers from Europe, especially from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, who want to showcase their work on the catwalk. The Open Call runs from February 6 to March 6, 2026, and selected collections will be presented at the Fashion Show on Friday, May 8, 2026. Who is the Open Call for
Do you like fashion and enjoy sewing? Then this Open Call is exactly for you! We are looking for designers who are already in the fashion and design environment and have experience with their own creations. Collections ranging from 4 to 8 models can be submitted, which may not be completely finished at the time of application. So if you have an idea that is not yet fully completed, do not despair. However, the collection must be completely finished and ready for presentation at the show, which will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026. When submitting your application, you will briefly describe your concept and provide visual materials that best approximate the appearance of the collection or its emerging direction – moodboards, sketches or photographs.
Designers can only submit collections to the Open Call that have not been presented in the last three years as part of the Fashion Show at Zlin Design Week or at the Fashion Event Dotek.
What we can offer you
We will provide the selected designers with full production support – from models to make-up and hairstyling to the musical dramaturgy of the show. The presentation also includes photographic and video documentation, media outputs and communication on Zlin Design Week social networks.
Participation in the show is without entitlement to a fee, but participants can still benefit from support in the form of discounted accommodation or travel allowance if necessary.

How the Fashion Show can influence a fashion designer’s future path is described by Barbara Rakovská, who participated in last year’s show: “Participating in the Zlin Design Week fashion show was a very valuable experience for me and a pleasant collaboration with a great organizational team. I really appreciated the opportunity to stand alongside talented designers Anežka Matějů Mrzílková and Nishchai Anastasia and to collaborate with Adam Hrubý for the second time on the musical accompaniment of the show. I was very pleased to be able to present my work in the new context of a fashion show, which offered viewers a subtle insight into the behind-the-scenes of the creation of the collection. The whole experience also motivated me to finalize the collection, which subsequently led to the opportunity to present selected models at the Roots of New Dimension show in the Basque Country, focused on eco-designers working exclusively with natural materials.”
