Semi-finals of the competition
The first meeting of the expert jury, also known as the semi-finals – this is the selection of the top designers from all the entries in a given category. In any case, we will inform you about your advancement by e-mail.
Early March 2025
Finals of the competition
Success! The second round of the competition, the finals, consists of online defences of the TOP 3 contestants of each category in front of our expert jury on the Google Meet platform. It is here that the first competition rankings and the overall winner of the Best in Design title will be decided. But you’ve already secured your spot!
Mid-March 2025
Best in Design program
With your placement in the finals, you receive an automatic invitation to the curated Best in Design program created especially for the finalists and judges of that year. You can look forward to networking together, the opening of the Best in Design exhibition or the awards ceremony! So on 10 May 2025 in Zlín, you will not only find out your final placement in the competition, but you will also experience a lot of beautiful moments, meet designers from all over the world and get inspired.

Zlin Design Week
In addition to the curated Best in Design program, you get an invitation to the entire Zlin Design Week festival. You can extend your trip and soak up the atmosphere of Zlín for a little longer – we are preparing various workshops, panel discussions, concerts, fashion show, design pop up and much more. We are already looking forward to seeing you!
