Zlin Design Week is a week-long festival where creativity, energy, and inspiration converge through various forms of design. Throughout the week, Zlín comes alive with a program full of exhibitions, workshops, fashion shows, and engaging discussions that connect talented young creators with professionals and enthusiasts. It’s an opportunity to experience design in all its dimensions and discover what resonates with you – whether you’re a fan of fashion, graphic design, or industrial design.

The festival is not just about observing; it’s about engaging. Workshops allow visitors to get hands-on experience, learn new skills, and draw inspiration. Meanwhile, the discussions feature insights from leading Czech and international figures addressing contemporary challenges in design and its role in our lives.

A key part of Zlin Design Week is the international competition Best in Design, which annually showcases the best talents from the young generation of designers. The finalists of Best in Design push the boundaries of creativity, offering festival visitors the chance to see their work up close.

And when the evening comes? The festival continues with concerts, afterparties, and other events to keep the atmosphere vibrant and exciting.

Since 2015, we have been operating under the auspices of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, thanks to the interdisciplinary collaboration of design, marketing, photography and audiovisual.
