7. 2. 2025 | Michaela Kottová

Zlin Design Week and the statutory city of Zlín are announcing a public competition, giving creatives the opportunity to contribute to the visual identity of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Tomáš Baťa’s birth. If you have graphic talent and a passion for influencing the design of city promotional items, this challenge is for you!

What is the competition about?

The goal of the competition is to create original graphic designs for merchandise items celebrating the significant anniversary of the legendary entrepreneur and visionary Tomáš Baťa. Creative individuals can design not only the promotional items themselves but also the visual identity of the entire celebration and its integration into the city’s public spaces.

Who can participate?

The competition is open to all graphic designers, artists, students, and professionals who want to contribute their ideas to the celebration of such a significant personality as Tomáš Baťa. There are no age or professional restrictions—what matters is creativity and the courage to present your view of Baťa’s legacy in the present day.

How to participate?

The competition runs from February 7, 2025, to February 28, 2025. Submit your designs in PDF format (max. 40 MB) to the email address soutez.zlin@zlindesignweek.com with the subject “Baťa 150.” Your submission must include:

  • 1st place: 8,000 CZK
  • 2nd place: 6,000 CZK
  • 3rd place: 4,000 CZK
