For whom is Conference intended?
The Zlin Design Week conference has become a platform for exploring the specific needs of human diversity, the social and environmental impact of products and services or new participatory ways of design, observation and teamwork. This year’s edition is once again dedicated to the theme of universal design, but will not only focus on professional topics, but will expand into the field of marketing and the creative industry. The conference is therefore intended for anyone who wants to broaden their horizons and gain inspiration – whether you are a student, experienced designer, freelancer, cultural manager, creative or a representative from the corporate or public sector.
In which language will be the Conference?
Our speakers are mostly from abroad, so the whole Conference programme will be in English, but the Discussion on the Universal Design and Mapping Creative Industries project will be in Czech. However, the entrance fee includes the rental of interpreter headphones with simultaneous translation into Czech and English.
How will the final schedule look like?
The Conference will feature a total of 14 speakers in Design talk blocks and panel discussions. The programme will also include three workshops thematically focused on space, services, communication and product. Throughout the day, visitors will have access to the Openspace area, which will host a panel of the Czech Industrial Design Association with lectures, but will also serve as a chill-out zone to meet others, have discussions, and make countless contacts. During the day there will be catering for visitors as well as 2 outdoor food trucks – Racoon Foodtruck and Gyradiko Street Food. After the Conference everyone is invited to the after party.
For whom is student discount intended?
We offer students the opportunity to purchase a ticket at a lower price. The student discount is intended for full-time students. The same conditions apply as for example for state discounts on transport. It is possible to show, for example, an ISIC card or other confirmation with the school stamp and signature. The discount is verified at the entrance to the Conference.
Where will I get my ticket?
Your ticket will be sent to the e-mail you provide when you pay for your tickets. Tickets can be purchased via GoOut. If the ticket has not arrived or there is another problem, please check your spam folder. Alternatively, contact us and we will help you resolve the situation.
